Garrett is in it for the long-haul and is a long-game beast. Growing up, he spent much of his time working on and modifying cars. In High School, he joined the automotive program and took his school to State, then Nationals, winning 1st place as a 2 man team in the FORD & AAA Student Automotive Skills National Competition in Dearborn, Michigan and was 1st place in the nation on his written examination. This afforded Garrett a few scholarships, but he decided to stay in his home town and join the local Ford house. Garrett graduated at the top of his class from Cy-Fair High School in 2004 and entered the dealership as an apprentice-technician. At the age of 21, Ford certified him as a diesel technician where he quickly became a service writer's dream. He was the go-to diesel man. His wife agreed and eagerly supported Garrett's departure from the dealership. Together, they officially opened Power Stroke Magic, Inc. in May of 2009.
Although Garrett did not opt for a classical education, his desire to become a true tradesman and obtain knowledge to build skills for his craft only intensified through the years. He is an obsessive researcher and has a drive that is unconventional to say the least. After getting the business situated, he taught himself how to weld. He taught himself how to operate manual lathes and mills for the purpose of rescuing failed systems. However, this quickly escalated into a desire to produce and manufacture quality Power Stroke related components while making them beneficial to his customers. He taught himself how to G-Code and how to operate various CNC Machinery. He then acquired the equipment required to bring his dreams to reality. He taught himself how to design using CAD/CAM software. All of this continued education was in the after hours of running Power Stroke Magic full time. Today, Garrett offers several products for the Ford diesel engine and suspension, all made in house with as many American-sourced materials as possible. Garrett has big plans for further parts development and manufacturing and welcomes your truck to come along for the ride.
Garrett and Sarah married in October of 2008 and have 4 children together.
